Everybody’s talking about The Beast from the East – but what actually is it? As explained in this video from the UK Met Office, The Beast from The East is actually a regular and recognised weather phenomenon that brings the coldest weather at the end of winter, rushing in to the UK from Russia and Scandinavia. The Beast is characterised by clear skies and severe frosty and icy conditions – with snow added to the mix if there is moisture in the air.
