The best method of supplying extra oxygen in fish ponds is a system that generates a high volume of small air bubbles. Small bubbles rise more slowly in the pond than larger ones, hence causing a more intensive transfer of atmospheric oxygen into the pond water.

Using an AquaOxy Aerator Ring where you want to generate the greatest possible oxygen input is the ideal way to achieve this. Aerator rings are often used in high quality Koi ponds, and also in filter systems that work according to the moving bed process. Aerator rings produce a good distribution and high volume of diffused oxygen and are therefore often a better option than aerator bars - especially if your pond is not a smaller one (in smaller ponds an Aeration Bar might be preferable).

The AquaOxy Aeration Ring D 60cm is suitable for, and most effective when coupled with an Oase AquaOxy 5000 or AquaOxy 7500.
