An unusual native plant with long, narrow and serrated leaves. Stratiotes like to have their roots in contact with the soil or mulm on the base of the pond. Most ponds containing Stratiotes seem to have clear water.
We suggest 2-3 large floating plants per 1m²
Allow to die back naturally. The old plant rots away and the young plants rise to the surface the following spring to bear small white flowers and start the cylcle all over again.
