Designed with a small filter and/or waterfall in mind this pump from UK brand Hozelock is a great choice. Easy to clean, low wattage and meant to run all the time, day and night.
The hinged no-clog cage is easy to open when you need to do a little maintenance. There are big holes in the cage so that it can suck in large bits of dirt, keeping your pond clean and reducing maintenance. If baby fish or tadpoles might be at risk from this you can use the included inner mesh panel to reduce the size of the holes during the period that hey are smallest.
