Gudgeon are a small bottom dwelling fish which are found in rivers and lakes across Europe and northern Asia. When kept in a pond they tend to scavenge around the bottom, helping to keep down waste by stirring up debris, helping the pond’s filtration. Gudgeon prefer to live in a shoal and require fairly well oxygenated water. Gudgeon should be fed sinking food.
