These snails eat decayed plant and debris, as well as algae. Ramshorns tend to eat from the sides so they can be a good pond cleaner.

These snails eat decayed plant and debris, as well as algae. Ramshorns tend to eat from the sides so they can be a good pond cleaner.
Although most of them are extremely small, some may reach a size of two and a half centimetres (one inch). They lay eggs in globules, which tend to be brownish in colour. The globules contain about a dozen or so eggs, though it can vary.
You will always make their day if you feed them with spinach leaves, green lettuce leaves or slices of green zucchini.
5 snails per m² can be a useful guide.
