Nuphar lutea
Description: Bright-green, leathery, Water Lily-like leaves. The flowers, which are held on stiff stems, are bright yellow and similar in appearence to large Buttercups. They produce a smell similar to alcohol.
Other Common Names: Bobbins, Clot.
Origin: Europe, Northwest Africa and Western Asia.
Water Depth: 250cm.
Spread: 200cm.
Flowers: June - September.
